This innovative company is committed to transforming the digital landscape by creating the infrastructure and tools that empower individuals with greater control over their digital interactions and enhanced security for personal information through blockchain technology. Focusing on digital identity, digital assets, connected devices, and stable digital payment systems, Blockchains is bridging the gap between the digital and physical worlds. Additionally, the company is constructing a real-world sandbox in northern Nevada, where it will showcase new ways for people to live, work, and play in the future.

The Opportunity

When people think of blockchain technology, they often link it to cryptocurrency and the unpredictable bitcoin market. Most cryptocurrency websites feature a dark, tech-centric design that emphasizes apps and numbers. The Blockchains team aimed to stand out in this space by adopting a more human-centered aesthetic that highlights people, teamwork, and culture. The website needed to communicate that Blockchains is more than just cryptocurrency—it’s about building an entire ecosystem focused on benefiting humanity.

What We Did

The eDesign team knew it needed to build a site for Blockchains that would push the creative envelope. To illustrate the company’s progressive nature, we developed 30+ custom 3D assets that were integrated throughout the Blockchains site. At the forefront was a detailed 3D animation of the company’s pilot program—a futuristic city in northern Nevada meant to showcase all aspects of what blockchain technology can do. Featuring an abstract feel, multiple textures, and eye-catching motion, the animation was built to appeal to a variety of audiences—from potential partners, to industrial application users, to prospective employees. In addition, our team created reusable CMS templates and added new sections, such as a rich news area and career page.

How It Went

The final result was a fast, user-friendly, and accessible website that set itself apart from typical cryptocurrency sites by incorporating bright colors and a more human-centered design. Within days of the launch, Blockchains saw a 3x increase in user engagement and a 50% rise in pages visited compared to the previous site. Despite the heavy use of 3D animations, successful SEO optimization led to improved Google rankings.

The project was completed on time and within budget, earning universally positive feedback from company stakeholders. As a testament to the quality of the work, Blockchains has enlisted eDesign for ongoing maintenance and support, as well as future projects, including microsites, landing pages, and campaigns.
